This is me

Hi, I’m Tony Pickard, Lancashire born and bred, I live in the wonderful seaside town of Morecambe. I suppose I am quite new to the world of photography compared to many. Always had a thing about documenting things by taking photos with my old Minolta film camera. Then digital took hold and before long I was snapping everything with small digital compact cameras.

I got seriously introduced to the world of photography about 6 years ago, mainly wedding photography by a very good friend and professional photographer from Yorkshire, Gary Gough. I was invited on many training courses dealing with everything from studio work to outside shooting then to my passion, wedding photography.

I get a great feeling been able to capture and keep those special moments for the bride and groom, and to be able to document and create beautiful mementos of the occasion is the icing on the cake on one of the biggest days of their lives. There is nothing better than months after shooting weddings you still see your photos getting re posted on social media from many happy couples.

When not shooting or editing weddings, I also do studio shoots. I have a portable studio, backdrops, strobe lighting etc which can be set up when and wherever needed.

My downtime/chill time can come from getting out when the weather lets me to capture some amazing images of fantastic places for my Landscape or seascape portfolio. It also gives me an opportunity to travel to some wonderful places that I would have never visited.

Please feel free to take a little bit of time and have a look around my website and see my work. If you like my work and would like to contact me with any enquiries whether it be Wedding, Studio or Landscape interest, please do get in touch, I’d love to hear from you. Why not follow me on Facebook too. Drop me a line to say hello, and I’d be pleased to chat some more with you.
