Joe contacted me to shoot their wedding as I had previously photographed a family members wedding the year before.
On our pre wedding meet up, basically a cup of tea and a decent natter about whats required for the day, Joe said they only wanted a few photos from the registry office and some afterwards. They were having a family meal after the ceremony so no need for my services.
Shannon turned up and looked absolutely amazing. We even got a smile off Joe.
The registrars were their usual selves, They are so good with everyone, Kids running riot, no problem. Not that there was any riots going on here lol.
Even though Joe had said they did not want to much fuss, just a small wedding, I had different ideas. I endured to persuade them to get some after ceremony photos in a nice location as well as the usual family ones at the registry office garden.

My usual go to would be Williamson park and the Ashton memorial for after photos but I had done this previously with the family wedding beforehand so off on my travel I went to recce out a new photo location.
I found a lovely spot on the River Lune, it looked perfect for a daring bride and groom, luckily Shannon and Joe, and the kids and mum were up for the hike out onto the aqueduct.
I could have spent hours here with the couple, so many opportunities to get so many photos. What a shame they had to get back for their meal. This spot now on my wedding location list as well now
Mum kept the kids safe on the bank whilst I took the bride and groom out into the walkway into the middle of the River Lune, perfectly safe...as long as you don't fall in lol
Finally I had to drag myself away and head back to the car park, having a good laugh with the kids, I spotted another photo opportunity. Get them to race against each other along the cycle path...what possibly could go wrong.
No children were harmed in the taking of these photos.  :)
