From the moment I met Amy and Matty for the pre wedding meet up, basically a natter about the wedding day and a brew of course I knew straight away this was going to be a crazy one.
The Shireburn Arms is a beautiful Hotel restaurant set in the beautiful Ribble Valley in a small village called Hurst Green, near Clitheroe.

It was a full day gig, Bridal prep through to the first dance and a few extras in this case.
When asking the couple about things they wanted from their day, what sort of photos they preferred, their answer was pretty much do what you want, we just want to see everyone have a great time and not get to hung up on formalities. Also the word beer was mentioned a lot ( it was at this moment I just knew )

Weather wise we could not have asked for anything better, non stop sun, red hot all day, obviously lubrication was needed throughout the day from an early start I may add.
The staff from the Shireburn exceled themselves with the ceremony room, beautiful archway leading up the front of the room.
Now during the service when the bride and groom had to exchange rings and place them on each others hand, a comical moment happened, Matty made a certain comment which left one registrar gobsmacked and the other in tears hiding behind her book, she could hardly compose herself to carry on...
"Moving on" I remember saying to the hysterical registrar and soon proceeding got underway again with so much laughing and smirking going on, this was to be the talking point of the day, and still is. Unfortunately it's a case of if you know , you know, my lips are sealed, unless you grab me on the quiet and your not easily offended :)

After the fun of the ceremony, and a few more drinks in the beer garden, we had the speeches. No real shocks here, although plenty of laughs.

Now the highlight of the whole day for me was a little find a few miles from the hotel. I thought I have to get the Bride and Groom in my car and have a drive out to Cromwell's Bridge. They were still having desserts at the wedding breakfast but Amy and Matty were happy to come with me to grab some amazing photos. Poor Amy risking life and Limb to walk out onto this very narrow bridge. Matty found it highly amusing at his wife's ability to transverse the rocks in her wedding heels.

Before we lost the light, we grabbed a few more photos back at the hotel, and had a few more drinks of course.
It's a beautiful venue with so much to offer especially for a photographer.

Well darkness fell and it was time for the finale of the day....a Sparkler shoot. Now these are really fun to do and a pain to organise...what could possibly go wrong lol.
30/40 not so sober adults waving a firework around, no problem at all.
Co-ordination was the word here.....mmmm!!
Thanks you so much Amy & Matty for letting me be part of your amazing day, I have never have been felt so welcome by everyone at the wedding.
