My first wedding of the year finally arrived and i had the privilege of shooting Amy and Ryan’s big day for them. Saturday 23rd March 2019. We were graced with wonderful weather, it had been miserable the two weeks leading up to their wedding day but my trusty BBC weather app had promised me ok weather, and it was right. Started the day at Amy’s, good old early start to make sure i caught all the hair and make up getting done. Could not believe how chilled Amy was, in fact everyone seemed very calm and collective. Croissants and pain chocolat with a variety of fruit was served for breakfast, would have been rude not to accept the hospitality so fill my plate i did. Lots of photos taken of Amy, the bridesmaids and flowers girls.

Once Amy was in her beautiful dress it was time for me to make my way to ” The Lodge” at Slyne with Hest to meet up with the boys. Ryan and his two best men and groomsmen were there participating in the local meed, just a quick one to steady the nerves. Soon the guests started arriving and before we knew it Amy and her dad arrived in a gorgeous brand new Toyota Lexus.

All guest and groom in the room, Amy and her dad made their appearance, poor Ryan had a bit of a wobble but it was lovely to see the bond they have between them. Service went as planned, the registrars were great, made everyone feel at ease and really made for a fun ceremony. Photos galore taken as per usual, making sure not to miss a single expression on their faces.

Ceremony done it was drinks and then get everyone outside for the family formals. It all went pretty much to plan, big thanks to the usher for helping with that. Eventually we got them all finished and then back inside for the wedding breakfast. Unfortunately we had quite a big delay here which threw out my plans to take Amy and Ryan for a personal photoshoot, but these things are sent to test us.

Cannot complain about the food, the service and the staff at the lodge were great, despite the delay for the meal. The speeches were amazing, Amy’s dad made Ryan feel so welcome into the family and the best men speeches were quite respectable, ( well almost). Before we knew it the evening guests started to arrive and fun and games started with the DJ getting people fired up, although that was not to hard as this lot were a great bunch from the off. First dance done, i managed to grab Amy and Ryan for a bit of wire wool fun in the garden area, pitch black, could hardly see a thing but we got the shot. It was time for me to leave, Amy told me stay, leave the car and have a few drinks but i think everyone had enough of me running around all day with my cameras lol. Just a few shots to show some of the day.
